Fabulous pattern and such a pretty blouse. It is my first pattern from Atelier-Scammit and I love it. The instructions are clear and I used the auto translate and watched the video. I struggled with using elastic to do the gathers so reverted to normal gathering. I’ve just started Diapason blouse number two and the fabric for number three is already washed and waiting!
No major concerns with pattern, came together nicely. Made top version with sleeves for a friend, no obvious fit concerns, she is very straight sized/small bust. Seam allowances vary between seams so took a bit of concentration to get them right. I like that the sleeve patterns are interchangeable between several patterns but haven't tested this feature. It seemed to be fairly long in the torso which is not a problem for my make but shorter people might need to shorten the length for a good fit
The drafting of this pattern is really well done. I normally have to make adjustments for my narrow shoulders but Atelier Scämmit top patterns fit me very well out of the box. Love all the different details. As I’m not the biggest fan of gathering I really like the idea of using elastic. I only find the 2-page instructions a little difficult to navigate on my iPad and would appreciate having the centimeters included in the English version of the pattern (now I constantly need to go back and forth between the two versions).
I love this pattern. I made it in a pretty block-print voile and it is so lovely. The fit is perfect. I changed the cuff a bit, instead of the elasticized version, I made a narrow (1/4") cuff. I also didn't do the elasticized ruffle as per the instructions, but did a conventional gathering stitch. I wore the blouse just yesterday and felt great in it. I will make another one for sure!
I am completely satisfied with "Liseron". I made the blouse as a gift for my pregnant niece from a cotton-viscose blend in size 38, with the ruffles on the sleeves but a standard collar. Simply beautiful! The written instructions aren't that good, I sewed with the help of the excellent tutorial on YT.
Versatile pattern- so many options. Instructions are clear and the sew along video is also useful. I’ve made a Sherpa version and will make a printed cotton one for the spring next!
É muito giro, fácil de fazer, mas tive que encurtar um pouco tanto nas mangas como na altura, pois sou pequena (1,54m), e ficava me muito grande.
This pattern went together quickly and easily. It fit well without alterations. I really like how it looks.
I adore the California pattern! With the help of the video I sewed my first pair of jeans and the fit is perfect. Honestly – one of my favorite sewing patterms!
I adore this pattern! The instructions are detailed, the design is full of little surprises, and the result is beautiful, feminine and flattering. I would definitely buy patterns from this designer again!
I have been quite disappointed in the quality of directions for the Horizon garment.
The photo illustrations are difficult to interpret because the stitching lines are shown in white thread on white fabric. The pattern has quite a few variations, and the correct steps for them are not clear.
I have had to almost completely re-write them instructions in a way I could understand. I am an experienced craftsperson, but I find the Horizon directions fall short. I would not purchase a pattern from Atelier Scämmit again.

Love this pattern! I made the high neck dress version in French Terry. The raglan sleeves made fitting very easy. The instructions are easy to follow and the video tutorial helps if you get stuck. I will definitely be making more versions - both as a dress and a top.
I made a muslin of this blouse (in about 30 mins!) and it comes together fast! My only issue is how far down the armpit is but that is a super simple fix! I think this is going to become a favorite wardrobe staple in all the floaty fabrics!! :-)
Well drafted pattern as all the patterns are in this line. Personally, I love the funnel neck option. The fit is perfect. I am complimented every time I wear one of my Capsule tops. Making a dress from this lovely pattern is next on my list.
I made my first Declic in a couple hours to wear to my holiday work party. I made a couple tweaks so I could use a gorgeous heavy velvet (no French seams this time!) and it turned out beautifully. The shape is wonderful and the pleats worked nicely with my fabric. The armholes are definitely on the low side, but I don't mind - just need to choose my bra carefully.
I'll be making more in some lighter fabric options for the spring and summer.
I made a sleeveless top with Seersucker for last summer. so cute! I'll make a long-sleeved ver. with Bohemian print fabric for the cooler weather.
I just love the aesthetic of Atelier Scammit patterns. The classic feminine style of this shirt is one of them. Great instruction. I'll make more for sure. Thanks!
Fabulous pattern. I made 2 hoodies, 1 sweatshirt and 2 cardigans with this pattern. The design of the sleeves is perfection. Looking forward to making more items from this very versatile pattern.
Absolu is a great sewing project for someone who makes a jacket for the first time. This garment is ideal to become one of the most basic pieces of clothing in anyones closet. The instructions are clear and the video very helpful! The only part I struggled with was the bias binding which is needed everywhere in the garment!!! I will definately recoment it and I will surely make it again!
I enjoyed sewing Declic! I am an adventurous beginner sewist. This pattern is for everyone who love to sew uncomplicated, fast and easy patterns. I made this in a day and I'm working on my next project.
Great pattern to make, suitable for all abilities. Lovely garment, very pleased
So many tops and dresses with gathers are WAY too poofy for me, and the rest of the garment is often big and boxy. But with this pattern, the gathers are just right. The shoulders, neck, and arms are quite a slim fit, and then these lovely gathers swirl out from such an interesting, flattering V-shaped seam line.
I confess I made my first Virevolte in a too-thick double gauze and it was not a good fabric choice. Ended up two sizes too big, as the gauze grew. The next one I used a rayon and that was gorgeous. The designer's construction methods are professional and streamlined. As I've mentioned before, I do struggle a bit with her written instructions, for which I knocked off one star, but her video is excellent, even if you don't speak French. Such a pretty pattern.
This is my very first Atelier Scammit pattern. I bought it during a sewalong contest. The pattern is simply great. I love the video instructions, useful and very precise! I watched and watched the passage I need to better understand the sewing process. I made my Eugenie blouse in a vintage floral linen. I think these are some of the best indie pattern you can find online!
A beautiful top. As a beginner sewer, I'm looking forward to sewing the Declic top. Thank you for offering this pattern for free. Much appreciated.
Wonderful pattern. I sew primarily with knits and looked for a well constructed pattern to help me transition back to sewing with woven fabric. This was the perfect pattern to work with.
Very straightforward pattern with good instructions and helpful video guides. I love the numerous variations and made the long sleeve version with frilled cuffs and the neck frill as a gift for a friend. I am going to make the same for myself. The French seams and bias bound neck seam make for a great finish. The only change I made was to construct the neck frill with gathering rather than the elastic method which I’m not familiar with.
I received my pattern promptly and was very surprised at the professionalism and superior quality. The instructions are clear and succinct. I will definitely be making further purchases .
Lovely pattern. I love the way it fits. I really like the way the yolk, collar and cuffs are made so simple to sew on well. The instructions are a bit brief. The video is helpful. It's a shame the auto subtitles/ close captions function has been set to unavailable. There is video detailing how these can be turned on but this is not possible. It would be a 5* from me if this worked as it would have made the construction so much easier.
Great pattern. Will make it again in another fabric. Comes up very snug fit so will add a little to both the length and the back. I would say it is an intermediate skill rather than beginner level.
Ordered the pattern a couple of months ago but made my first "test" version last week. I just love it , more california pants will be created.
For me it was very usefull to have n english and a french tutorial, if 1 was more difficult to understand, I went yo the other.
Thanks a lot
Wow. Loved the shape of this but it certainly doesn’t like my shape. I’m only 150cm tall and the armholes were open to my waist. And the v neck was too low. I have set this aside until I have the mental energy to do the alterations necessary.
Without a doubt, the best summer top pattern that I own! Such a quick and easy make with no adjustments needed. I particularly love the pleating detail at the shoulders. I made one in cotton lawn and another in viscose.. Have many more of these lovely tops planned for the future.
Really lovely blouse to sew, I have made one and want to make more. The sizing is very generous so will make the size smaller next time. Highly recommend this pattern X
The most interesting free pattern I’ve seen. I really like the shoulder pleat detail. Most tops are too short on me, but this one was fine without adjustments. Mostly easy to follow instructions , the video QR codes are a nice touch. I didn’t quite understand the instruction about blending the armhole hem into the side seam - a video for that step would have been nice. I made it in a cotton lawn, I think next time I will try something with more drape. As an introduction to Atelier Scammit’s patterns, it has definitely made me want to explore the rest of the collection.
Den blev fin, men hade säkert blivit ännu bättre med ett mjukare tyg med mer fall.
Tack!
I made this top out of a bargain bin viscose rayon and I just about managed to squeeze the pattern pieces onto the little fabric I had.
After tissue fitting I decided to do a 2cm FBA, which was definitely the right idea because the top now fits perfectly.
I cut off a good 6 cm at the hem after the FBA because the top had gotten overly long and I don't have the longest torso.
The neckline facing came out a bit floppy but that is mostly down to me using a too light interfacing.
The armholes were too low cut for my liking but I finagled it around a bit and sewed them up higher.
All in all, this is a fun quick sewing project and one of the better free patterns that I've done.
I bought the pattern in 2019 but only made it today! Should have done so earlier. I like the shoulders especially, as well as the neckline that is not too low or wide. I can put the shirt on easily without creating an opening at the back. I am now keen to try other Atelier Scammit patterns!
I have just made the Zoe blouse in a Liberty Tana Lawn and I'm really pleased with it, will definitely make again.
It was a very satisfying make, learning new finishing techniques. I found the English instructions fairly brief but they were accompanied by the tutorial video and extra tutorials on YouTube e.g. using bias binding, which were extremely helpful. I wasn't able to find English subtitles for the Zoe tutorial video but along with the English instructions, I got there. I used the Atelier Scammit simplified method to make and attach the bias binding around the neckline, for me it was a game changer and in future this will be the method I use.
I felt the "V" neck was a little low for me, so I raised it by about 3cm and reduced the length of the blouse by 7cm.
I look forward to my next Atelier Scammit pattern and learning more techniques.
I made this first one out of some old stash fabric that unfortunately was to thick and didn't press very well, so I had a bit of a struggle, which of course isn't the patterns fault at all.
The neckline came out really nice and I love the look of the front with the pleats :) However I struggled a lot with the armholes and the side seams and didn't get them to match up properly. The armholes were way too big for my liking and the side seams under the arms looked very odd at the top :( Next time I'm going to make some changes and perhaps use biasbinding instead of a double hem for the armholes, do regular seams instead of french seams (at least at the sides) and of course, choose a lighter fabric. Declic in this particular fabric is totally wearable but not a favourite.
Thank you for the free pattern! :)
Easy pattern. Great fit. Made a few with diverse fabrics.
